Inverness District Scout Council
offers first rate Scouting to over 700 young people
across the vast Inverness District. The District
stretches from Beauly in the West, to Nairn in the East,
and from Newtonmore and Fort Augustus in the South, up to
the City of Inverness, on the Moray Firth Coast.
Inverness District offers a wide
range of programme across all its Beaver Colonies, Cub
Packs, Scout Troops, Explorer Units and Scout Network,
to cater for all interests. The District is also
responsible for large scale events, including the
Midsummer Madness Camp for all members, and the
Inverness Area Gang Show at Eden Court, both of which
have taken place in 2008.
The wide range of programme is only
possible due to he time and commitment displayed by the
140 adult volunteers, and who receive tremendous support
from the District Fellowship, who are a group of adults
who can to commit to weekly meetings, but provide
support for events, as well as having their own social
programme.
